Renting Disney Vacation Club Points

Renting Disney Vacation Club (DVC) points can be an excellent way to save money on your Disney vacation. Many Disney enthusiasts are familiar with the high cost of staying on Disney property, but renting DVC points can significantly reduce the cost of your stay. Renting Disney Vacation Club points has become a popular alternative to traditional hotel bookings through Disney direct for many travelers seeking an affordable stay at one of Disney’s Deluxe resorts.

What is Disney Vacation Club?

Disney Vacation Club is a vacation ownership program that allows members to stay at Disney properties or other affiliated resorts around the world. Members buy points that they can use to reserve accommodations at various Disney Vacation Club resorts. The cost of these points can be quite high, but many DVC members rent out their unused points to non-members.

How does renting DVC points work?

The process of renting DVC points is relatively simple, but it does require some planning. When a DVC member is unable to use their points, they can rent them out to non-members. We act as an Intermediary broker between DVC members and non-members. We help non-members find available DVC points for rent and facilitate the rental process.

1. Determine Your Travel Dates and Location

The first step in renting DVC points is to determine your travel dates and location. Keep in mind that DVC properties book up quickly, sometimes 9, 10, 11 months out depending on the resort, room type, and time of year. You should plan to book your stay well in advance to ensure availability.

2. Research DVC Properties

Once you have determined your travel dates and location, you can begin researching available DVC properties. The best resource for this is the Disney Vacation Club website, where you can browse available resorts and view photos and amenities. You can also use our Cost Calculator to know exactly how much your preferred rooms will cost for your dates.

3. Availability Request

Once you have your dates in mind and have narrowed down your resort and room options, you would submit an Availability Request form to us. Once we receive your form, we will let you know the availability for each of your preferred resorts and let you know of any alternative options if availability no longer exists for your submitted resorts.

4. Choose Your Accommodations

Once you know the options available to you to book, you can choose your accommodations based on your personal preferences and budget. Keep in mind that different DVC properties and room types have different point values, so the number of points required for a stay will vary depending on the location and time of year.

5. Make Your Reservation

After you have chosen your accommodations, you would let us know what resort and room you would like to book. We would then reach out to the DVC Member who would make your reservation with their points in your name. Once the reservation has been secured, we then provide you with the confirmation number that you can add to your My Disney Experience App to view your booking details. It is at this point where we would then then send you the Rental Agreement to electronically sign along with your invoice.

6. Enjoy Your Vacation!

Once your reservation has been secured and the brief paperwork is taken care of, all that's left to do is to enjoy your DVC vacation! You will check in at the DVC resort just like any other guest, and you can take advantage of all the amenities and benefits of a DVC stay.

What are the benefits of renting DVC points?

The most obvious benefit of renting DVC points is the significant cost savings. By renting DVC points, you can stay at the best Disney properties for a fraction of the cost of booking the same Deluxe Villa room directly through Disney. This can be especially beneficial if you are planning a long stay or if you are traveling with a large group.

Another benefit of renting DVC points is that you are staying at a Disney Vacation Club resort, which offers several advantages over standard Disney properties. For example, DVC resorts typically offer larger rooms, kitchens or kitchenettes, and laundry facilities. These amenities can be especially beneficial if you are traveling with children or if you want to save money by preparing your meals.

Renting DVC points also allows you to take advantage of other Disney perks, such as early park entry and Disney's Extended Evening Hours. While early park entry is offered to all Guests staying at a one of Disney’s resorts, Extended Evening Hours are only able to be used by Guests staying at Deluxe Resorts.

Renting Disney Vacation Club points offers a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the magic of Disney’s Deluxe Resorts at a more affordable cost. By renting points from a DVC member, you can enjoy the perks and amenities of staying in a deluxe Disney resort while paying a fraction of the cost. Whether you're a frequent Disney-goer or a first-timer, renting DVC points is a great way to get the most out of your vacation dollars while enjoying all of the amenities that the Disney Vacation Club resorts offer.
